EVA worked to produce a series of policies on AI (artificial intelligence) in 2025. These policies cover the emerging technology and use of AI and will be reviewed in future years.
The policies are designed to take into account the positive benefits that may be gained from AI tools, along with risk factors and potential negative impacts.
Enfield community and voluntary groups are welcome to use these policies as the basis for drawing up their own policies and procedures for using AI.
AI policy documents
You can read or download our policies as pdf files here.
>> EVA AI policy: principles and ethics – general overarching policy considering the use of AI, its benefits and its disadvantages, in line with our organisational values.
>> EVA policy: staff and volunteer use of AI – more detailed policy covering when and how EVA staff and volunteers might use AI.
>> EVA policy: use of AI in funding applications – a specific policy covering the use of AI tools to compile submissions or complete funding applications.
AI bots and meetings
EVA does not admit AI “bots” to our meetings or events.
• Online events – if you are booking a place at an online event, you should join the meeting yourself. AI bots or “assistants” will not be admitted to EVA online events.
• All events – participants are NOT permitted to record EVA meetings using AI tools, or by any other method. This is to ensure discussion can be free and open for everyone.
EVA publishes an impact report each year, which includes statistics for the number of organisations attending our training courses and events. You can be sure that all our training is delivered to real human beings and genuinely makes a difference to local community and voluntary groups in Enfield.
