Basic bookkeeping with Excel

An introduction to bookkeeping with Microsoft Excel, constructing petty cash and cash books, analysing income and expenditure types and bank reconciliations. This course is for treasurers, finance officers and others involved in maintaining a petty cash book and cash book to record financial transactions.
Safeguarding vulnerable adults – Enfield Community Empowerment Network training

Learn about basic principles for safeguarding vulnerable adults, your legal responsibilities and how to protect vulnerable people from harm. Includes how to identify signs of abuse, what to do if a vulnerable adult discloses abuse and how to report your concerns. With specialist trainer Genna Hodgson.
Understanding domestic abuse and its impact on getting access to housing – Cost of Living and Homelessness Network training

This training will provide a practical introduction to the topics of domestic abuse and coercive control. It will help you understand the wider context in which survivors experience abuse and the barriers they may face in getting the support they need, including from housing services.
Starting a charity or community group: get the right legal structures

This workshop will guide you through the different options – including how to become a registered charity or community interest company (CIC) – and help you put the right governance arrangements in place. With EVA’s development and funding advice manager Karishma Bhatia and community accountant Sakeel Toraub.
