Enfield Energy Champions – Q&A for community and voluntary groups

Thursday 18 September 2025 | 2pm to 3.30pm | Online

Meeting for organisations that want to take part in the Enfield Energy Champions programme – round 2

Are you interested in becoming an Enfield Energy Champion, working through your local community or voluntary organisation to help local people tackle fuel poverty, use energy more efficiently and reduce carbon emissions?

Or does your local community or voluntary group have a staff member or regular volunteer who would benefit from being part of EVA’s Enfield Energy Champions programme?

We are now recruiting a second group of Enfield Energy Champions, who will follow an accredited training course over four sessions, starting in late September 2025.

The champions will also benefit from special resources, regular training sessions and networking events as part of a growing community of Enfield Energy Champions.

Enfield Energy Champions will be able to refer local people to a dedicated fuel debt advice service from Citizens Advice Enfield, and will have access to specialist energy efficiency advice and support from experts at the HEET Project

We know a lot of local residents contact their trusted local community groups for help and advice. Having an Enfield Energy Champion will significantly increase the quality of advice and support that your group can provide to its members or clients on fuel poverty and energy efficiency.

If your community group has an active accredited energy champion, it will also be able to apply for up to £5,000 of development funding in early 2027 to expand and build on your energy champion’s work, and helping to embed energy advice as part of your group’s support for its members or clients.

This Q&A session is essential for community groups that are interested in being part of the Enfield Energy Champions programme.

Speakers will explain how the scheme works, what energy champions will do, and how you can nominate your group’s energy champion. There will be lots of time for your questions and answers.
