The course will be delivered online, with an hour’s break for lunch.
It will cover:

- how trauma can develop or exacerbate mental health problems if untreated
- supporting individuals using the ‘Recovery Model’ and ‘Mental Health Star’
- how cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) can help individuals
At the end of this training, you’ll be able to:

- recognise how trauma and secondary trauma can be a risk for staff supporting people in difficult circumstances
- identify sources of support and signpost or refer a person to the right service for the best response
