Homelessness and the law – with Shelter
Wednesday 1 May 2024 | 10am to 5pm with a one-hour lunch break | Online
National housing and homelessness charity Shelter will lead this in-depth training session. It will provide a comprehensive introduction to the principles and processes of homelessness legislation, and the responsibilities of local authorities.
Participants will learn how to approach homelessness law systematically, with an understanding of who counts as homeless or in priority need and how local councils are supposed to assess, prevent and relieve homelessness.
This training course is suitable for people with little or no previous experience and will give you the knowledge you need to support local people who are homeless or at risk.
