EVA Cost of Living and Homelessness Network training session for community groups

Laura Addae from Northstar Community Trust will present this training session on working with and supporting the families of children who are vulnerable to housing challenges and homelessness, drawing on her extensive experience with Northstar’s local school communities.
Laura will outline the key issues faced by families with housing problems, how local community organisations can respond effectively and what works in practice.
The training session will offer practical recommendations and an opportunity to reflect on best practice.
By attending this session, you will:
- Gain a deeper understanding of the housing and homelessness challenges affecting local families and children
- Learn how to identify and respond to housing-related needs in a child-centred way, through early intervention and partnership working
- Learn practical ways of building trust with vulnerable families and improving referral pathways
- Identify key action points that you can apply in your own community setting to support vulnerable children and families.
