EVA Cost of Living and Homelessness Network meeting

Tuesday 18 November 2025 | 10am to 11.30am | Online

With guest speakers.

Merley Bryan, early intervention researcher at Enfield Council’s housing advisory service, will give an update on how the council’s housing service is supporting local residents, and the key resources that community groups and their members or clients can use to help prevent homelessness.

Elaine Mochar and Vanessa Garwood will provide an overview of Christian Action’s social housing provision in Enfield and neighbouring boroughs. Elaine and Vanessa will explain how local community groups can refer residents to this important north London social housing provider.

Gemma Walker from BBC Children in Need will outline how to get support from the Family Fund Emergency Essentials Programme, which supports children and young people in crisis. It provides items that meet children’s basic needs – from beds so children can get a good night’s sleep to cookers to make hot food, or other items that are important for children’s wellbeing.

Our regular network meeting for community and voluntary groups whose members or clients may be facing problems with the rising cost of living or the threat of homelessness.
