Wednesday 16 September 2026 | 10am to 1pm | Community House, 311 Fore Street, London N9 0PZ
For many organisations, 31 March marks the end of the financial year, when everything has to be closed-off and summarised so that accounts can be prepared.
This session is for anyone who has to put together year-end financial information for a charity or other community organisation, such as a CIC, that has to follow charity accounting rules.
You will learn about the processes involved in preparing annual accounts and presenting financial information in accordance with the Charities’ Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP).
The training will also cover the purposes of an audit (or other form of external scrutiny) and the role of the auditor or independent examiner.
There will also be an opportunity to learn about the changes coming to charity accounting and reporting that will come into effect from 30 September 2026.
