Wellbeing Enfield Fund Grants Panel

We invite applications for volunteer voluntary & community sector representatives to receive training and sit on the Grants Panel to make decisions about awarding grants.
Training and meetings will be online via Microsoft Teams.
Deadline for application | 14th January 2022.

Feedback from a previous Grants Panel member (Tackling Poverty & Inequality Grants 2021)

“…. it was a tremendous experience for me to see just how difficult it is to try and do right for so many with so little. I think the process was fair and transparent.
Can I apply to be on other panels as the opportunity comes up? There is something quite special about giving grants to those that need it.”

If you would like to apply you must be able to commit to the following

Grants Panel training on criteria and fair assessment | 10am – 1pm, 26th January 2022
Reading applications | Between the Fund closing date on 7th February 2022 and before the
Grants Panel decision making meetings| 10am – 1pm, Tuesday 22nd and Wednesday 23rd February 2022.

The Grants Panel comprising representatives from the voluntary and community sector in Enfield and representatives from the funder organisations will consider all eligible applications and decide whether projects can be funded, how much funding they should receive, and whether any conditions should be applied to the grant award.

Members of the Grants Panel will receive training on criteria and fair assessment, from an independent trainer, prior to the Panel meeting.

EVA’s Chief Executive and Administrative and Finance Officer will attend the Panel Meeting in an advisory capacity and to record the decisions of the Grants Panel only. The Chair of EVA Trustees will attend as an observer.

No member of EVA staff or trustees will take part in the decision-making process.

Members of the Grants Panel may be drawn from groups who have applied for a grant, but they will be required to withdraw from the Panel while their group’s application or any group with which they are associated is being discussed.

All members of the Grants Panel will be required to agree a confidentiality statement and a conflict of interest statement.
