  • a copy of your governing document
  • a copy of your most recent annual accounts covering a full year’s activity
  • copies of your equal opportunities, safeguarding, data protection, and health & safety policies

EVA membership is not required to apply for this grant, but EVA already hold copies of these documents for current members who have renewed their membership since November 2019. Please do not assume that your group or organisation is a current EVA member as you will not be considered for a grant unless we have received all documents by the stated deadline.

We therefore strongly recommend that you upload all the required documents as part of the application.

If you would like to check whether we already hold these documents for your group, or if you would like templates of the required policies to adapt for your own organisation email Jenny Budden, Admin. & Finance Officer, Enfield Voluntary Action – admin@enfieldva.org.uk

You will also have the opportunity to upload an additional document to support your application. This is not required, but at your own discretion.

Support to apply, and support with conditions of grant

EVA will support applicants before and after the deadline who have good ideas that fit the criteria and priorities to develop their project plans.

In supporting and assessing your application, the panel may identify measures that will be conditions of a successful application. These may include

  • Revising the budget
  • Updating safeguarding / policies
  • Forming partnerships with other projects
  • Addressing areas of weakness in an application
  • Other conditions which the Grants Panel may agree are necessary

Funding Workshop | 11th January 2022

10am to 12 noon via Microsoft Teams. (Teams is free to download.)

The Funding Workshop will take a look at the priorities, the guidelines, and the application form in detail, with the opportunity to ask questions.

Monitoring and Evaluation

EVA is responsible for ensuring that the funds are well-distributed, and that we can monitor the proper use of funds awarded in line with your funding application.

Monitoring and evaluation requirements will be as straightforward as possible, and EVA will support grant holders with their monitoring, spend, and ongoing impact evaluation.

You will be asked to provide evidence of your spending through the production of receipts and invoices before final payments can be made.

Grants Panel

A Grants Panel comprising representatives from the voluntary and community sector in Enfield and representatives from the funder organisations will receive training on criteria and fair assessment, from an independent trainer, prior to the Panel meeting.

The Grants Panel will consider all eligible applications and decide whether projects can be funded, how much funding they should receive, and whether any conditions should be applied to the grant award.

EVA’s Chief Executive and Administrative and Finance Officer will attend the Panel Meeting in an advisory capacity and to record the decisions of the Grants Panel only. The Chair of EVA Trustees will attend as an observer.

No member of EVA staff or trustees will take part in the decision-making process.

Members of the Grants Panel may be drawn from groups who have applied for a grant, but they will be required to withdraw from the Panel while their group’s application or any group with which they are associated is being discussed.

All members of the Grants Panel will be required to agree a confidentiality statement and a conflict of interest statement.

Apply to sit on the Grants Panel

We invite applications for volunteer voluntary & community sector representatives to receive training and sit on the Grants Panel to make decisions about awarding grants.
